MUSE

Ride the harmonica-bus

Again

Chill out from some

Verbal strife

For the poet that’s easier

Than for his spouse

Chained to her village life

Thanks to Chez Walt

All tenants gather for a chat

Ol’ Walt the pacifier of tenants

At split-yard 35.

The poet will repair his broken

Cupboard door

Walt lends him his drill and

Other tools

While Mrs B tells her stories

About life’s unforeseen cruelties

Or so she remembers.

Well everybody has experienced

Hardships

The poet puts his viewpoint to

Paper

As an artist he longs for a new

Muse

He senses her to be already

Nearby.
