He won’t give in

He won’t give in to the

Pains of aging

Arthrosis countered with

Stainless steel pins and

Porcelain joints to his hips

Mr T calls the age when

One turns into a

Dumping place of steel.

He is reborn a few times

And step by step his

Self-confidence rises

Praising his surgeon with

A contemp integrated portrait

Her angelic face radiating

From within.

He’ll be again flexible and

He started Nordic Walking

Built up his walks

Planned around the

Viennese Woods

Looking out for new challenges

In the world of wanderers.

Damned! The needle pricks

In his knee he tries to ignore

At first

But soon the pain can no

Longer be contained with

Pills of Mefenabene 500

And Dr L must apply an

Injection into the knee joint.

He has feared his ailing knee

For some time now

To give up on its services

To him.

Now he moves on flat ground

Just to keep going

But he won’t give in.
